  • September 5, 2026

The Isaac Paintsil Foundation Gh. has officially marked a historic milestone with the sod-cutting ceremony for its first major community development project — the construction of an international-standard multipurpose sports facility for the people of Beposo in the Asunafo South District.
The ceremony, held on 5th May 2026, brought together distinguished guests, traditional authorities, sports administrators, educational leaders, and members of the local community, all united by a shared vision of youth empowerment, sports development, and rural transformation.
This landmark project demonstrates the Foundation’s commitment to improving lives through impactful community initiatives. The proposed sports complex is designed to meet international standards and will include:
An ultra-modern astro turf football pitch
Tartan running tracks
Spectator stands
Floodlight systems for night events
Modern dressing rooms
A natural grass football pitch
Multipurpose recreational and sporting spaces
The facility is expected to become one of the most significant sports infrastructure projects within the district, creating opportunities for young talents to develop their abilities while promoting health, unity, and community engagement.
The sod-cutting ceremony was attended by executives of the Isaac Paintsil Foundation Gh, the District Chief Executive (DCE), district education and sports directors, representatives of the District Football Association, traditional rulers, opinion leaders, and residents of Beposo and neighboring communities.
Speaking at the event, representatives of the Foundation emphasized that the project is more than just a sports facility — it is an investment in the future of the youth and the long-term development of the community. The Foundation believes that access to quality sports and recreational infrastructure can inspire discipline, teamwork, leadership, and hope among young people.
Traditional leaders and dignitaries present at the ceremony praised the initiative and described it as a transformative step for the area. Many highlighted the importance of providing modern facilities in rural communities, noting that such investments help bridge the developmental gap between urban and rural areas.
The project also reflects the Foundation’s broader mission of supporting the poor and needy in society while undertaking developmental projects that improve the quality of life in rural Ghanaian communities.
Residents of Beposo expressed excitement and gratitude for the initiative, describing it as a dream come true for many young people who have long desired access to modern sporting facilities. Community members believe the project will not only nurture sporting talent but also create social and economic opportunities for the area.
As construction begins, the Isaac Paintsil Foundation remains committed to working closely with community leaders, stakeholders, and development partners to ensure the successful completion of the project.
The Foundation’s first major project stands as a symbol of vision, hope, and progress — a bold step toward empowering the next generation and transforming lives through sports, unity, and community development.
